Day 342 : air stripes

Heathrow is pretty close to where I live. Not so close that I hear every single take-off and landing, thankfully. Though when Concorde was still doing its thing, the Sunday night arrival from New York was a sight and sound to behold. It was brief but unmistakable sound and if you pulled back the curtain the distinctive elegant silver dart could be seen streaking by. Though I don't hear so many planes now, I live under the flight path so a stripy air trailed sky is very common. I prefer it when the trails cut across a pinky, orangey sunrise but today I just have to make do with a blue sky cross-crossed with white stripes bisecting streaky clouds. I can't see or hear any planes, but they've definitely been here.
