This escalator is usually packed with keen but weary passengers rushing to get up to Waterloo station, but at the moment I'm the lone traveller. I thought I should take the opportunity to photograph it. Like much of the Jubilee extension stations (if you can recall which they are) there's a strong quite stark industrial feel to the decor. I like this escalator, the futuristic looking metal wall panels lining the tunnel create these pleasing converging lines. The whole effect is of warp speed, though thankfully the escalator is moving at the normal speed.
